U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins has claimed that recent data demands to states have uncovered significant fraud in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), including instances of 186,000 deceased people receiving benefits nationwide and a man receiving benefits in six different states. The figures of "5,000 dead people" and "500,000 receiving benefits twice" appear to be misinterpretations or different figures cited at various points during her claims. Read more
